Chase for the Championship from Team Caliber

Team Caliber plans to produce a very limited run for the Chase for the Championship. These cars will be a Preferred Series die cast with the Chase for the Championship Logo on the deck lid and will come in a custom package. The following cars will be made as long as they are in the top 10, if one of these should fall out of the top 10 then we will not produce their car. These will ship out after the Richmond Race with the exception of Ryan Newman, which will ship early October.

NASCAR phenom Kasey Kahne and talented veteran Ward Burton will be part of a program designed to promote the upcoming motion picture, DreamWorks’ Shark Tale. Shark Tale features an all-star cast playing out the story of Oscar, a fast-talking, little fish who dreams big. However, his big dreams land him in hot water when a great white lie turns him into an unlikely hero. The movie dives into theaters nationwide on Oct. 1, 2004.

Kahne, who competes in both the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup and Busch Series circuits, will drive the No. 38 Great Clips/Shark Tale Dodge at four different NASCAR Busch Series races in 2004, including Michigan International Speedway on August 21, Bristol Motor Speedway on August 27, California Speedway on September 4 and Kansas Speedway on October 9. Meanwhile, Burton will drive the No. 0 NetZero HiSpeed/Shark Tale Chevrolet Monte Carlo during the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series race on Oct. 3, 2004 at Talladega Superspeedway.

NASCAR Drivers to run MAD paints in Atlanta - Diecast by Action

The Racing World Goes MAD

During select fall races in NASCAR, World of Outlaws and the National Hot Rod Association, fans will be going “MAD” with excitement as MAD Racing steals the show with a variety of paint schemes that feature some of the best-known characters from the satirical magazine that debuted in 1952.

While the stock cars, drag racing machines and sprint cars will sport the likes of Alfred E. Neuman and Spy vs. Spy, the vehicles in the program will share a specially designed MAD Racing “Unsafe at Any Speed!” logo featuring the “Spy” characters from Spy vs. Spy.

NASCAR drivers Kenny Wallace, Kasey Kahne, Jeremy Mayfield and Michael Waltrip will roll out their MAD Racing machines during the NASCAR Busch and NEXTEL Cup Series events at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Oct. 30-31, 2004. That same weekend, the Coughlin brothers will share their MAD Racing pro stock machines with drag racing fans at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Danny Lasoski will round out the program with his MAD Racing sprint car, racing on November 5 and 6 at The Dirt Track at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

This year, the Coca-Cola Company is making history with its first ever low-carbohydrate, low-calorie soft drink, Coca-Cola C2. As part of the multi-leveled rollout, the Coca-Cola Racing Family, featuring many of NASCAR's best drivers and teams, got together with a fleet of Coca-Cola C2 race cars for the midsummer NASCAR NEXTEL Cup night race at Daytona International Speedway on July 3, 2004.

Now, collectors can be part of this special "Family" affair with a historic diecast set, created in cooperation between Action Performance and Team Caliber.

The Coca-Cola C2 Six-Pack Tin includes three 1/64 AP cars from Action, and three 1/64 cars from Team Caliber. The Action Coca-Cola C2 lineup includes #20 Tony Stewart, #29 Kevin Harvick and #98 Bill Elliott, while Team Caliber is represented by Rousch Racing teammates #16 Greg Biffle, #97 Kurt Busch and #99 Jeff Burton.

The tin houses all six Coca-Cola C2 Racing Family diecast cars in individual blister packs with a specially molded lid that resembles the "pop tops" and "O" rings found on a standard Coke six-pack. The six-pack "cans" include imagery reflecting Coca-Cola C2 as well as the official C2 logo and select NASCAR team indicia.
